Trainer and Horse Duos for 2017


The pairing process for this event was designed to create the best duos possible!  The goal is to have winning duos that will produce winning relationships.

Lizzy is our youngest participant, at the age of 13 she is ready to try her hand at her first training challenge and her father, John Herring, will be her partner in this competition.

Currently running barrels and poles, Lizzy wants to try something new.  She has been matched up with a 3-year-old Arabian named Teddy.

Tommy Goodin has been a horseman for years, although never entered a contest to prove his skill, well . . . now he has.  With a natural touch and respect for horses, Tommy is ready for his first Trainer Challenge.

Dually, a 4-year-old quarter horse gelding, seemed to be the perfect match for Tommy, now let's see how they do together.

Although Megan competes in many categories of competition, such as eventing, jumping and dressage, this is her first trainer challenge.  With 5 plus years of training horses and competing, we are going to put her skills to the test.

We have paired Megan up with Dutch, a 3 year-old-hackney cross.  Dutch has a fancy step and a big heart.  These two should be magnificent.

Roe Ann Logan is a horseman with 40 years of experience across the board.  Although, this is a first for her.   From starting colts to barrel racing, Roe Ann has done it all, so we feel very fortunate to have her participating in our trainer Challenge.

Pride, a 3-year-old QH/Cross . . . the most beautiful, narcissistic horse that you will ever meet.  Roe Ann Has her hands full!  He is as smart as he is handsome.  Stay Tuned!

Walk, Trot, Canter: Greenhorn

Jennifer is not a professional trainer, although she has spent most of her life on horse back.  She has entered this challenge to help give a horse a skill to build a future off of.  

Opposum cam to us full of determination to survive.  At the age of 7 months old she is a true example of loving life.  The In-Hand Obstacles should be a breeze for this smart little girl.

Roe Ann Logan is a horseman with 40 years of experience across the board.  Although, this is a first for her.   From starting colts to barrel racing, Roe Ann has done it all, so we feel very fortunate to have her participating in our trainer Challenge.

Cricket is also matched up with Roe Ann, this leggy 2-year-old filly is Roe Ann's type and has a beautiful mind as well.  This may be a match that Roe Ann might want to keep for her self!
